DAY 4: PUERTO MADRYN |
Breakfast. Peninsula Valdes. Full day tour, including boat ticket for the austral frank whale watching, which operates from June to November each year. Early in the morning, begin this journey of 380 miles in the span of 11 hours. Península de Valdés, World Heritage Site by UNESCO, has unique species in a unique habitat area for development. During the tour will develop the interpretation of the terrestrial ecosystem, by specialized guides. Then the tour continues to Caleta Valdes, interesting and important geographical settlement of elephants and sea lions that you can sighting from shore. The tour continues through the northern arm, reaching the outermost point of the peninsula: North Point, where you will watch elephants and sea lions. DAY 5: PUERTO MADRYN |
Breakfast. Punta Tombo Penguin with Lower Valley. Leaving Puerto Madryn, south along National Route N º 3, and after traveling about 80 km on pavement and passing the city of Trelew should take Provincial Route No. 1, on this gravel road, after 107 miles arrive at Punta Tombo, the largest continental reserve of Magellanic penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus).Income is paid as in the rest of the provincial reserves, the reserve has toilet facilities and bar. To observe the wildlife is important to respect the trails perfectly set for travel.Upon returning remaining even some interesting options to visit, at the conclusion of the gravel may take National Route No. 25, opting to go to the coast, visiting Rawson (capital of the province) and Union Beach, where you can glimpse from the spa’s beautiful Commerson’s dolphins or visit the port. If instead of the coast is directed towards the valley, you can visit Trelew, the industrial and commercial area, and continuing along Route 25 will arrive to Gaiman, Welsh colony that retains its traditions, where you can find historic buildings and enjoy a typical Welsh tea in one of its famous tea houses. DAY 7: USHUAIA |
Breakfast. During the morning, National Park Tierra del Fuego: represents the southernmost protected area, the only National Park that has coastlines, covering a stretch of 6 km. Wide over the Beagle Channel and an area of 63,000 hectares. It is reached by the National Highway No. 3 to N.A. Ushuaia, met along the way Pipo River, Monte Susana, Ensenada Bay, Redonda Island sighting, lake Roca Casita del Bosque, Laguna Verde and Negra, beaver dam, Lapataia Bay, marking the end of the route, to 3,242 km. Federal Capital. The topography of the park is extremely varied, everything is a series of craggy mountains, rivers, valleys and lakes, resulting in varied landscapes from the picturesque and lively stream to the mass of towering mountains, or the extraordinary spectacle of the majestic Beagle Channel. During the spring and summer, you can admire varied and colorful flowers: mutillas, violet, primrose, white orchids, armories, white and yellow daisies, and the various tree species: Cinnamon, Wood Dura Notros Lenga Ñire, Burgundy presenting as Misodendro parasites and the Llao Llao, observing lichens, which hang in the form of a beard. The most common mammals are foxes and rabbits, living in the Park also muskrat and beaver. Among birds, Upland Goose and gray-headed, steamer ducks and great grebe, the black carpenter and rayadito giant, as the Park presents exclusive marine birds such as albatross, the oystercatcher overo the white Cauquen and mammals such as seals and otters sea. In the afternoon, navigation Beagle Channel and Island of the Wolves: you will sail out of Puerto Tourist our city, towards the Beagle Channel, enjoying as you move away from the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia, overlooking the most important buildings, Museum (old prison), Museum of the End World, the industrial area, and mounts Olivia and Cinco Hermanos. Then you will sail to the southwest, approaching the island of Los Lobos, where, from the boat, you will enjoy the view of specimens of sea lions, watching their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting. Then, you will sail to the Island of Birds, habitat Magellanic Cormorants, Imperial Cormorants and privileged sector to spot examples of marine birds. You will go to the Lighthouse Eclaireurs in the archipelago of the same name, where sank the ship Monte Cervantes in 1930. The return will be through Paso Chico, overlooking the tunnel stays and Fique, you return to Ushuaia, with a stunning view of the frame that gives the city and Mount Martial Glacier. |
DAY 8: USHUAIA |
Breakfast. Escondido and Fagnano Lakes. This tour begins along National Route 3 north between several mountain ranges of the Andes Mountains where they discover peat bogs, glaciers, waterfalls in the middle of the Patagonian forest. In Rancho Hambre begins to climb the Step Garbaldi following the winding path of the route arriving at a vantage point at 430 meters from where there are spectacular views of the Lakes Escondido and Fagnano. Then you will take a short stop at Lake Escondido, where you will see the emerald green waters surrounded by an Andean Patagonian forest in a landscape of breathtaking beauty. Breakfast. Perito Moreno Glacier. Departure from the morning to travel the 80 kms, which is the distance between El Calafate and Perito Moreno Glacier, unique in the world constantly advancing. On the way, will visit beautiful places of the Andean foothills, along the south shore of Lake Argentino. After crossing rivers and Mitre Sentinel, will reach the Brazo Rico to enter Glacier National Park. Bordering the Lago Rico, begin to spot the icebergs floating on the water until finally able to appreciate the full extent of this natural wonder that has been declared by the United Nations as a World Heritage Site. Duration: about 8 hours. Accommodation. Optional (check extra rate) Safari Boat – Sailing Lake Rico: the tour is a voyage of one (1) hour by the Lake Rico, who can appreciate the majestic south wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Minitrekking – Hiking on the Perito Moreno Glacier: the tour begins at the port labeled “Under the Shadow” (7 km. Before the glacier viewpoint). There he embarked to cross the Lake Rico, reaching the opposite shore after 20 minutes of navigation with view to the south wall of the Perito Moreno glacier.After landing you access to the shelter where the guides give details of the trip. DAY 11: EL CALAFATE |
Breakfast. Ice Rivers. The schedule of shipment in the port of Punta Bandera Private (47 kilometers from the city of El Calafate), will be at 8:30 am and the game will be at 9:00 am, after the passengers are informed the safety and seaworthiness. Once on board sail across the North Arm of Lake Argentino to reach the Channel Upsala, where we will find a spectacular Barrier Icebergs. From there we will have a panoramic view of the Upsala Glacier. Then navigate Spegazzini Channel, where we observe the Seco Glacier to reach the front of Spegazzini Glacier, the highest in the National Park. Return to Private Puerto Punta Bandera will be at approximately 4:00 pm, by boat. The tour can be modified depending on weather conditions and safety and the decision of the captain of the boat. DAY 12: EL CALAFATE/BARILOCHE |

DAY 13: BARILOCHE |
Breakfast. Cerro Tronador (height 3554 meters). You leave Bariloche southwards and border Gutiérrez and Mascardi lakes. Further on, the road also borders the western arm of Mascardi Lake along a winding road up to Pampa Linda. After riding a few more kilometers you get to a brook. As from there you walk on for about 30 minutes: after crossing a suspension bridge you will go through a forest of lenga (Nothofagus pumilio) and canes (Chusquea culeou) until you reach a cliff from where you can enjoy the view of Las Nalcas fall. All around the fall we can see the great nalca (Chilean rhubarb) leaves that can grow as big as a meter wide. We go back on time for lunch and continue later to the Black Glacier belvedere. Return is scheduled at 3:45 pm so as to be back at the hotel at 6:00 pm. Note: From September to November there is a lot af water. From December to April, the water fall becomes much thinner. And from May to October, the excursion depends on the road condition. Lunch and National Park fee are not included. |
DAY 14: BARILOCHE |
Breakfast. Puerto Blest, Cascada Los Pitchers and Laguna Frias. Leaving Puerto San Carlos and / or scarves on a boat sailing on the waters of the Blest arm to its tip, where the port is Blest. This trip passes close to the Sentinel island, where the remains of the Perito Moreno. The landscape features along the Blest arm resembles the classic remote fjords of Norway and the Fuegian channels. Puerto Blest area has lush vegetation, caused by excessively wet weather. From there you can continue by bus to perform the additional excursion to Laguna Frías. Then you arrive at Porto Alegre in the far north of the lagoon, where you take a boat to cross it to dock at Puerto Frias. Returning to Puerto Blest, embarks for the crossing to Cascada Los Pitchers. It goes up a wooden staircase along the stream The Pitchers to a height of about 600 meters, since you can admire several waterfalls and cascades of remarkable beauty. Then down to the pier where the boat will lead back. |

Breakfast. City tour. A tour around the places of greater attractive of the city: The Cathedral (1855) where Gral. Güemes, patriotic hero, rests; Cultural Center America, Historical Museum of the North (Town Council) with exhibitions of sacred art and rooms dedicated to old traditional families of Salta, “San Francisco” Church and, “San Bernardo” Convent, and the monument to General Güemes. You will ascend to “San Bernardo” Hill to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. Also you will visit to “Batalla de Salta” Monument (Battle of Salta) and “20 de Febrero” Park (February 20th Park), you will go towards the outskirts and you will visit a summer village called “San Lorenzo”, characterized by the subtropical microclimate and lastly a visit the Artisan Market where craftsmen of the entire province expose their original crafts. DAY 17: SALTA |
Breakfast. Cachi. The trip begins in the Lerma Valley until El Carril, continuing to Chicoana. We enter to the Quebrada de los Laureles (The Laurel”s Gorge) and soon to the Quebrada de Escoipe (Escoipe Gorge). We arrive to the Maray entering Cuesta del Obispo (The Bishop”s Cliff), road with abundant curves from where it is possible to enjoy a panoramic view of the Enchanted Valley and small houses with maize and fruit trees. At Piedra del Molino (The Mill`s Stone) we reach 3.384 meters above the sea level, the highest spot in our trip. Return to Salta. Accommodation. |
DAY 18: SALTA/JUJUY/SALTA |
Breakfast. Quebrada de Humahuaca. The tour leaves from Salta, but really begins once arrived to Purmamarca Village where time will be enough to observe the Seven Colored Hill, the Church and the Craft Market on the square, and a small walk along it´s narrow streets. We continue towards the town of Tilcara where we visit the Pucará (ancient ruins), the Archaeological Museum, and Huacalera, then we cross the Capricorn Tropic, from where the colors of La Pollera del Coya Hill can be seen and really good pictures taken because of the daylight. We visit Uquía and its church, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels (important vestige in the zone of the Cuzqueña School) are kept. Arrival to Humahuaca will be at noon, this town has an important Church and the Independence Monument (the Indian) of the sculptor Soto Avendaño. After lunch we´ll observe , from the route, La Paleta del Pintor (Paintor´s Palette) framing the town of Maimara. We continue to San Salvador de Jujuy where the Flag Hall and the Cathedral, characterized by its pulpit carved in wood and gold and the statues of Lola Mora are visited. Finally, we return to Salta through National Route N° 9 of abundant subtropical vegetation. The last stretch is: El Abra of Santa Laura, observing La Cienaga (The Swamp) dam, Las Maderas and Campo Alegre and returning to Salta through Vaqueros. Accommodation. |
