Peninsula Valdes: full day tour, including boat ticket for the austral frank whale watching, which operates from June to November each year. Early in the morning, begin this journey of 380 miles in the span of 11 hours. Península de Valdés, World Heritage Site by UNESCO, has unique species in a unique habitat area for development. During the tour will develop the interpretation of the terrestrial ecosystem, by specialized guides. Then the tour continues to Caleta Valdes, interesting and important geographical settlement of elephants and sea lions that you can sighting from shore. The tour continues through the northern arm, reaching the outermost point of the peninsula: North Point, where you will watch elephants and sea lions. Returning, you will visit the Interpretation Centre where you can enjoy the panoramic spot showing the two gulfs: the New and San Jose. Whale watching is from Puerto Pirámides.
Punta Tombo Penguin with Lower Valley: leaving Puerto Madryn, south along National Route N º 3, and after traveling about 80 km on pavement and passing the city of Trelew should take Provincial Route No. 1, on this gravel road, after 107 miles arrive at Punta Tombo, the largest continental reserve of Magellanic penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus).Income is paid as in the rest of the provincial reserves, the reserve has toilet facilities and bar. To observe the wildlife is important to respect the trails perfectly set for travel.Upon returning remaining even some interesting options to visit, at the conclusion of the gravel may take National Route No. 25, opting to go to the coast, visiting Rawson (capital of the province) and Union Beach, where you can glimpse from the spa’s beautiful Commerson’s dolphins or visit the port.
